With the more active lifestyle that people are enjoying these days, having some sort of reconstruction done is a relatively common occurrence. Materials scientists, working in close conjunction with members of the medical field, have developed modern solutions for the many needs of repair or replacement for parts of our bodies. These solutions may be as simple as finding new materials to be used for fillings in teeth, or as complex as a knee joint which brings together many specialized needs.
